Lunes* (*Monday) was district P-day! :D I made french toast. It was a good time haha! We played futbol con sillas* (*soccer with chairs) and volleyball! Then, we went inside due to rain and played Mafia and Signs. :) Super fun P-day! :) Despues* (*Then), we visited Luz Maria, less active, and talked about the power of setting goals to get better each day. :) Chevere p-day* (*Awesome preparation day)!

Tuesday began with interviews with Pres. Silva! :D We practiced contacting with the asistentes* (*assistants) and did a practica* (*practice) with our zone leaders before heading back to Chilca for lunch. :) We contacted and then visited 2 new investigators- Teofila and Diana! Teofila asked why baptism is necessary, so we explained that and put a fecha bautismal* (*baptismal date) for February 4th! :D We then went to Pachis, the elders' old pension, and four members ended up showing up to visit her! We read 2 Nefi 23 and talked. :) Luego* (*Then), we visited Luz Maria, less active, and talked about the story of Lot's wife and how we shouldn't be trapped by the past. :)

Miercoles* (*Wednesday)! We started off the day with a district meeting. :) After lunch, we went to Severina, less active, and sang hymns for her and talked about the power of music! :) Luego, we visited our investigator Gloria and explained la fe* (*faith)- what it is and how it can help us! Then, we visited Lita, member, and helped teach her how to direct hymns! :D Despues, we went to Elizabeth (menos active* (*less active)) and Mario (investigador* (*investigator)) and talked about la obediencia* (*obedience)! Mario said, "Jesus dijo, el que beba de mi agua nunca tendra sangre!!* (*Jesus said, the one who drinks from my water will never have blood!!)" So that made us die of laughter. Good times. :D

Thursday, we spent the morning contactando* (*contacting)! After lunch, our citas* (*appointments) fell through, so we contacted a bit more- and ended up contacting a woman that only wanted me to talk, "porque Dios dijo que las gringas nos deben hablar; esta en la Biblia!!!* (*because God said that the gringas should talk to us, it’s in the Bible!!!)" XD That was HILARIOUS. Luego, we visited Familia Llacua, conversos* (*The Llacua family, converts), and explained the Gospel of Christ, focusing on perseverando hasta el fin* (*enduring to the end). :) Para terminar el dia* (*At the end of the day), we visited our investigator Eddy, who told us that she wants us to visit her kids so that they can be baptized! :)

Viernes* (*Friday)! Today, I was feeling pretty sick, so that was not so fun. In the morning, we got a call from our less active Elizabeth to come urgente* (*urgently), so we asked permiso* (*permission) and went. She was going through a really rough time, so we mostly just talked to help comfort her. We came back to the room to weekly plan, and after lunch, we visited Severina, less active, and taught the 10 Mandamientos* (*Commandments)! They have a hymn book in Italian because their daughter who lives in Milan sent it to them, so I sang some hymns in Italian for them... and they lent me the hymn book! :D That's been super fun. :) We walked and contacted lots because our citas fell through (in Peru, it's feriado* (*holiday) and everybody’s on vacation, so everybody left. ah.), but it was a good time. :)

Saturday, we spent the morning at the doctor! I got more examenes y todo* (tests and everything), and they're not completely sure what's wrong with me apart from gastritis fuerte* (*severe gastritis). So that was fun. After lunch, we visited Shirley, a jovencita* (*young woman) member, and talked about how she can get past trials. :) Luego, we visited our investigator Eddy... and her kids, Cheffer and Nella! :D We got to know them and talked a bit about the Church. They want to get baptized in April for Cheffer's 16th birthday jaja* (*haha). :) Despues, we visited our investigator Maria and explained patriarchal blessings. :)

New Year's Day! :D Crazy. 2017! 2016 went by in the blink of an eye haha!!! But hey, happy new year!!!!! :D Church was great. :) After lunch, we visited our new investigator Mari and talked about the Plan de Salvacion* (*Plan of Salvation) and then visited Erick, less active, and helped him with his Deber a Dios* (*Duty to God)! :) Despues, we had a district activity where we interviewed people and contacted- copying the video that the church made hace ratos that asks people in a cafe what they think about the new year and the story of Lot's wife and how it applies. It was SUPER fun; I went to contact with Hna Dymock. Era chevere* (*it was great). :)

"The Lord's grace is sufficient to lift you from death and sin and to endow you with eternal life. It is sufficient to change you, transform you, and perfect you. It is sufficient to enable you to fully realize your divine potential as a son or daughter of God."
