Pensamiento Espiritual* (*Spiritual Thought): Hebrews 11: 39- 40
Buenooo. P-day de cambios* (*Great preparation day with changes). I sent Hermana Esparza off to Villa Rica, had a training in the office, made tacos with my hijas* (*daughters) waiting to train (Hnas Vallejo, Huanaco, Murugosa, and Aramayo), and then spent most of the tarde* (*afternoon) resting, cleaning, and talking to Hna Vallejo. :) At night, we picked up Hna Jose from Huanuco and ran to Lesly's (member) for her mission call! :D She's headed off to Argentina Buenos Aires Sur in Abril* (*April). :) Que emocion* (*What a thrill)! :)
Martes* (*Tuesday), Hnas Vallejo and Jose were my comps! :D Cerro round 2. We deep cleaned the house and got everything ready for the new sisters in the morning. After lunch, we went and said goodbye to Anabela, who's leaving for her mission in Argentina tomorrow! Luego* (*Then), we went to Naju, the JAS representative of the ward and got to know her and helped her plan activities. :) We ran into Clelia, investigator, while walking and contacting (coincidences DON'T exist!) and taught her about the importance of being an example for her children. :)
Wednesday started with a training for the trainers, followed by a training with los nuevos* (*the new missionaries), where they dramatically assigned us trainers the trainees! :D Mi hija es Hermana Bernales de Chile* (*My daughter is Sister Bernales from Chile)! :D (Hilarious, I've had Hna Bernal from Mexico and Hna Bernales from Chile.) She's super sweet. :) After a series of trainings and lunch, we fixed up the room, got her unpacked, and went out to work. :) We visited Jeny, Kiara, and Lucero (investigators) who have been reading the LDM* (*Book of Mormon) and read a bit with them before heading to Clelia, investigator, and talking about the Plan de Salvacion* (*Plan of Salvation) and why we're here on Earth. :) Day 1 of mission motherhood went well. :)
En Jueves* (*On Thursday), I said goodbye to Hna Aramayo in the terminal. :( I'll miss her tons. We then had a district meeting and did lots of contacting and finding work throughout the day! We ended up finding a less active family contacting whose father isn't a member, Familia Tantavilca* (*The Tantavilca Family)! :D So that was a blessing. :) We visited Vannedy, new investigator, and talked about the power of the Atonement before going to Aguira and Guillermo, investigators, and talking about the importance of family unity and family prayer. :)
Viernes* (*Friday)! We spent most of the day contacting and looking for old investigators. :) We visited with Isabel, new investigator, and explained a bit about the Plan de Salvacion before going to see Fam. Zarate, conversos* (*converts), for Hna Bertha's birthday! :D They brought Macian, new investigator, with them, and we taught her about el milenio* (*the millennium). :) A good finding day.
Saturday, we said goodbye to Hna Jose in the morning. We then went and cleaned for service with Sonia, less active, and cooked Chilean completos with Fam. Zarate for lunch! :D Luego* (*Later), we visited Fabricio (converso), Guillermo (investigator), and Paula (investigator) and watched a Living Scriptures video of the LDM* (*Book of Mormon) with them, to which Fabricio said, "I always thought Nefi looked more like Ron Weasley." :D so that was hilarious. Then we went up to contact where there are lots of dogs who usually attack us. A dog started to bark and come toward us, and I just said a prayer for God to protect us and kept on walking, not slowing down. And all the dogs left us alone! :D Prayer WORKS and God PROTECTS, if we trust in him, unwavering. :) We went to our investigators Mary and Claudia and talked about la fe* (*the faith) to finish up the day. :)
Fast Sunday! Church was great and I finished reading all of Doctrine and Covenants today, so happiness. :) We visited Milagros and Hermelinda, less actives, and they have seen LOTS of miracles lately and are coming back to church! :D Luego* (*Then), we went to our investigator LinSu and read the LDM* (*Book of Mormon) with her before heading to the stake center for a capacitacion* (*training) on la obra missional* (*the missionary work) for the ward leaders and missionaries. :D Calidad* (*Quality).
Amazing talk I found and studied this week:
READ. PONDER. PRAY. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH ME AND WITH THE WORLD. :D
Con amor y mis oraciones para siempre jamas* (*With love and my prayers forever and ever),
Hermana Schmid
