Click HERE for Karissa's voice message accompanying this update - she sings this week :).

Pensamiento Espiritual* (*Spiritual Thought): Alma 44:4

P.Day* (*Preparation Day)! :D After internet, we went and bought ingredients to make pizza and oreo no bake cookies with Marcia, our pension's daughter! :D We cooked, talked, and laughed. :) Luego* (*Then), we went and visited Charo, a contact from the other day, and got to know her! Turns out she's our pension's good friend! :) We then visited with Lupita, investigator, and talked about obedience before having a noche de hogar* (*home evening) with Marcia, watching church videos and playing monopoly! :)

Tuesday began with a district meeting on true conversion! After lunch, we contacted before visiting a fantastic reference from Cayhuayna! Ana is a joven* (*young lady) with a 3 month old baby. She went to church in Cayhuayna but now is separated from her boyfriend and is living in Alameda! :D We got to know her and felt that we should commit her to baptism.... SO WE DID and SHE ACCEPTED! :D We set a date for August 12th. :) She's SO cool and so prepared!!! Luego, we went to Camila, converso, and talked about temples before going to Kely, converso, and talking about family history and playing uno! Good day. :)

Miercoles* (*Wednesday) was a multizona* (*multi-zone meeting)! We got answers to doctrinal questions, talked about the conversion we hope for in our investigators, and talked about the importance of committing people to baptism and setting dates! :) We helped with practices and then left, contacting and visiting Luis Alberto, converso* (*convert), talking about the Plan de Salvacion* (*Plan of Salvation)! :)

Jueves* (*Thursday)! Today, we helped the central sisters move! They moved into a house where a gringa member lives- a sister who served here and came back! We talked to her for a bit. :) After lunch, it was back to the capilla* (*chapel) for practices and interviews with President! I always really enjoy entrevistas* (*interviews). They're so helpful and motivating. :) Luego* (*Then), we went to the stake family history center with Luis Alberto to help him put in his ancestor's information! We made his account and his parents were somehow already in the system! :D We updated their info and his mother's name is all ready to be taken to the temple. :) So amazing!!!

On Friday, I woke up with a fever, stomach issues, and no fuerzas* (*strength), like what happened in January. I rested in the morning and in the tarde* (*afternoon) we went to the doctor. They said I've still got gastritis and an intestinal infection- so more pastillas* (*pills). :( We spent the night teaching English class to our investigator Alex and Luis Alberto, converso* (*convert)!

Saturday! I felt a bit major* (*better) today- mas fuerzas* (*more strength). :) We went to Yulisa, investigator, and cooked with her! We made her chocolate chip cookies and helped her prepare french fries for her lunch. :) After our lunch, we contacted and visited Rosa, investigator! After the multizone, I've been feeling much bolder in committing people to baptism- so we read 2 Nefi 31 and committed her to July 1st! :D She also gave us her friend as a reference! We contacted lots and visited Bibiana, less active, watching Meet the Mormons! There's a part where they're in the White House with Obama--- and Bibiana says, "Oh, la reunion sacramental, no?" (Oh, sacrament meeting, no?) and we LOST IT. It was so funny. :)

Domingo* (*Sunday)!!! In the morning, we visited a family (Fam. Solis) that we contacted the other day and got to know them before going to Luis Alberto, converso* (*convert), and helping him with his institute homework! :) We had lunch with a member before church! We had 3 investigators there- Ana, Alex, and Lupita! :D Ana is SO cool, seriously. She came and they were talking about eternal marriage and she just said it all makes so much sense! SO PREPARED. AH. :D We contacted lots at night. :)

Good week. Can't complain. :) I'm so exhausted but SO happy to be here doing this work. :)

Con amor y mis oraciones para siempre jamas* (*With love and my prayers forever and ever),

Hermana Schmid
