Week 30: Gotta Catch ´Em All

Pensamientos Espirituales* (*Spiritual Thoughts): Ether 12: 4

Last P-day, we went to our investigator, Delsy, to make Pikachu hats!!! We bought the fabric, string, etc. Before going back to her house to make them. They turned out to be really trabajosos* (*laborious), so we ended up sewing and finishing them off at night, but it was a fun time and now we have PIKACHU HATS! :) I´ve made so many manualidades en la mission* (*crafts in the mission), haha. :) Luego* (*Then), we visited Iris, converso reciente* (*recent convert), and read about the Tree of Life con ella* (*with her). :)

On Tuesday, we had a zone party for Elder Albrecht finishing his misión and Elders Mortenson and Peterson cumpliendo un año* (*serving one year)!!! There was lots of torta* (*cake) and a piñata, entonces, chévere!* (*then, cool!) :) We had a district meeting on the importance of listening and made sándwiches! After lunch, we visited Tom, recent convert, and talked about el Dia de Reposo* (*the Sabbath) before visiting Iris, recent convert, and explaining el LDM*(*The Book of Mormon). :) Luego, we visited Ada, less active, and taught repentance! We then went to Luz, less active, and read the Tree of Life con ella before visiting our new investigator, Sayumi, and talking about our purpose! She was being taught by elders 2 years ago, a Utahn and a Mexican, just like us! :) God´s in the details. :)

Miercoles* (*Wednesday)! We visited our new investigator Rosemary and got to know her before going to Lesly, recent convert, and Reading su lectura* (*the reading). After lunch, we went to take my comp´s USB to a member to fix a virus, and Mariella, his wife, took us in and told us that she had dreamed about the two of us and knew that we would come! Through small and simple things like USBs, the Lord works great things. :) We talked for a while before visiting Luz, less active, and Reading her LDM! Then we visited Jeny C., less active, and taught the Plan of Salvation before a Noche de Hogar* (*Family Home Evening) with Familia Anchante, menos activos* (*less actives)! We watched a video about obedience and played games. :)

On Thursday, we became chefs with nametags! :) In the morning we made tacos with our investigator Josefina for lunch then visited Milagros V., investigator, and taught the Word of Wisdom! We also challenged her to pray about a baptismal date. :) Despues* (*Then), our citas* (*appointments) fell through and we got a call de la NADA* (*out of nowhere) from Elmer and Yosy, members, offering to be our pension* (*note: the pension provides the meals for the missionaries)! We´ve been trying to change pensions, so this call was a tender mercy. We change Tuesday! :) We visited Iris and talked about fe* (*faith) before going to our investigator Jeny G. and teaching her and her parents about el LDM. Luego, we had an NDH* (*Family Home Evening) with Familia Romero* (*The Romero Family) and made pizza and talked about the parable of the Ten Virgins. Chevere dia* (*Fabulous day). :)

On Friday, we had studies, weekly planning, and lunch before contacting! Nobody opened their door and a dog tried to eat us, so it was really successful.:) We went to Iris and taught arrepentimiento* (*repentance) and talked before going to a baptism of the Ward of two Little girls, Holy and Valeria. Our investigator came and we all talked and ate Candy! Despues* (*Then), we went to Jeny G., investigator, and her family from Lima and watched Meet the Mormons. :)

Saturday! We contacted in the morning before visiting our investigator Nicole and talking about baptism. After lunch, we visited Tom, recent convert, and talked about tithing before going to Yohaira and Nancy, less actives, and talking about the nature of God. We then helped set up Delsy´s (investigator) quinceñera party and journeyed to San Juan for a baptism of the Paragsha elderes with our investigator, Edith R. :)

On Sunday, we had normal church meetings, consejo* (*advice), and lunch before visiting Migel, converso* (*convert), and teaching family history! Luego, we met with our investigator Edith R. and taught a part of the Restauracion con ella* (*Restoration with her). :) Our citas después* (*appointments after) fell through, so we ended up visiting Dora, less active, and talking about servicio* (*service) before going and getting the ropa* (*clothes) and saying goodbye to people in preparation for cambios* (*transfers).

Bernal´s going as hermana leader in San Ramon (mi SELVA!* (*my JUNGLE!)) and I´m staying here in C.D.P.* (*Cerro de Pasco) with Hna Rodriguez! I don´t know her, she came in after me to the misión, but it should be a good time. :) It´ll be different though; I´m used to being junior companion. But change is good. :) I´m incredibly happy to stay here in Pasco and I loved the time I had with Hna Bernal! I´ve been pretty blessed. :)

As Larry R. Wilson said in his talk ¨Return of the King¨, ´Those who have the precious gift of faith must fight for good against the combined forces of an enemy bent on their destruction.´

May we all fight for righteousness in the constant battle between light and dark, good and evil. May we all defend faith and battle valiantly for truth in our own epic tale. We are the Lord´s soldiers fighting in His battle; may we give Him our all and fight valiantly. :)

Les amo bastante* (*I love you so much).

Con amor y mis oraciones para siempre jamas* (*With love and prayers forever and ever),

Hermana Schmid
