Week 49: SOY BATMAN!* (*I AM BATMAN!)
Pensamiento Espiritual* (*Spiritual Thought): 2 Nefi 7: 8
Transfer P-day! Hna Aramayo and Samy took me to the terminal, where I met up with my new comp, Hna. Esparza! :) She's from Ecuador (my second Ecuatoriana* (*Ecuadorean)!) and is just great. :) We spent most of the day cleaning and helping the hnas* (*sisters) who were finishing their missions get everything packed and ready to go. We were going to send the sisters leaving off at 10; but, there was a huaico* (*huge storm - avalanche) on the way to Lima, so they all came back to wait until it passed. Locura* (*madness). :)
Tuesday! Well, we sent the sisters off at 4 am and then took Hnas. Cruz and Tinta to the terminal at 7 and said goodbye. :( Sad, but they'll all be just fine. :) We spent the rest of the morning helping the Mariscal Castilla sisters paint their room! After lunch, we visited Nilda, menos active* (*less active), and got to know her before going to Sonia, less active, where we taught her friend Rosario (new investigator!) and talked about the possibilities for happiness in families. :) Despues*(*Then), we visited Milagros, menos activa, and explained tithing. Luego*(*Then), we visited Fabricio, converso* (*convert), and his family, investigators, and talked about the importance of prayer. :) All the new sisters came tonight, so we got to know them all! :D
Miercoles* (*Wednesday) began with exploring and contacting! :D We found some fantastic people and contacted by doing a survey of people's favorite fruits and everybody really opened up! :) My favorite contact was a college student who just wanted to fight and contender* (*contend). But with our patience he opened up and told us that he was Atheist, and we talked about how he can turn that curiosity into an answer by asking God. :) Then, he wanted us to come back and visit! :D Patience brings blessings. :) After lunch, I went to Mariscal Castilla for divisions with Hna Jensen!:) We visited some great people, talked lots, and contacted lots, and a guy stole the Mariscal phone. Fun times. But other than that, good day. :)
Thursday, I was feeling pretty sick, but hay que seguir* (*you have to follow)! :) We had a district meeting where we talked about la diligencia* (*diligence). :) We proselyted with Hna Murugosa from Pilcomayo today because she's still waiting on her hija* (*daughter) from Brazil! We visited Katty, menos activa, and talked about the blessings of obedience before going to Milagros, less active, and explaining ayuno* (*fasting)! :) The office called saying that the new hermana* (*sister), Hermana Silva, had arrived, so we went to welcome her and left Hna Murugosa con ella* (*with her). :) We contacted and found a woman who looked really sad, so we sat down and talked to her for about 5 minutes about the happiness of the Gospel and prayed with her and she was smiling SO big when we left. :) 5 minutes can make a huge difference. :) We went to Clelia (investigator) and talked about pruebas en la vida* (*tests in life) before finishing the day visiting Antonia and Edgardo, investigators, and getting to know them .:)
Friday was... interesting. I woke up without strength and with lots of pain and couldn't get out of bed and also had a fever. They took me to the clinica de emergencia* (*emergency room) and did lots of tests and put me in a bed with an IV for a few hours. They know for sure I've got fuerte gastritis* (*strong gastritis), but they're going to do more tests until Monday to see more profundamente* (*more deeply). I watched videos and Hna Aramayo and her hija* (*daughter), Hna Vilela, came to stay with me for the next few days to rest. :) Adventures!
Sabado* (*Saturday), I woke up with a bit more energy! :) I stayed resting with Hna Aramayo and we watched all the church videos in existence and went to the clinic for more tests! :) At night, Esparza got stuck in the study room with the door locked and after trying everything else, I used my jiu jitsu knowledge and kicked in the door in my Batman onesie and rescued her. SOY BATMAN* (*I AM BATMAN). :D
Domingo* (*Sunday)! :D Church in el Tambo was great (and they have a piano :)) and I saw lots of friends from Cerro de Pasco who are here for vacaciones* (*vacations)! :D I stayed in with Aramayo again today and we went to the clinic, I organized everything, and we watched aun mas* (*even more) church videos. :)
