Pensamiento Espiritual* (*Spiritual Thought): Mormon 5 : 23

Huancayo! :D I got here to mi pueblo* (*my town) and mi frio* (*my cold) in the early morning! We spent the day visiting- I went and saw Hermana Dymock before lunch! She's my favorite. :) Luego* (*Then), we visited Mama Loysi and had keke and I played her accordion! :D Then we went to Cristhian and Bertha and talked with them!:D Ah they're just the best. And then we went to a Noche de Hogar* (*Family Home Evening) with Lyn, Jorge, and Luis! :D They're doing SO well and got the Melchizedek priesthood and are now ward secretaries! ah. It was just like old times. :) I loved getting to see all of them and mijita* (*my daughter- trainee) Hna Bernales again. :)

Tuesday was consejo de lideres* (*leader training)! We talked lots about the faith to baptize converts. :) And how EVERYBODY has their timing to accept this restored gospel! :) After consejo* (*trainings) ended, we visited some people in Huancayo Central that Hna Lescano knows, and de paso* (*with money) I bought a Christ tapestry! :D We played card games in the office, and Erika and Eduardo came to see me! :D Then, we left Huancayo back to the heat of Huanuco.

Miercoles* (*Wednesday), I arrived in Huanuco at 4:30 am! In the morning, my companion opened up to me and shared some of the personal difficulties she's going through. So I called Hna Silva and she told us to relax and do different, fun things today to help her out. :) We went to the church and she played piano, we bought ice cream, and we walked a bit and watched Church videos. :)

Thursday! Today began with a district meeting on asking inspired questions like the Savior did in His teachings! :) After lunch, we visited Luis and Lupe, investigators, and taught them about the LDM* (*Book of Mormon) and helped them with their homework! :) We then took Luis Alberto, converso* (*convert), to the family history center and helped him index! :) Good day!

Viernes* (*Friday) was travel day! We left Huanuco early to travel to Tingo Maria! We got there just before lunch of ensalada* (*salad) and a sweet bean dessert, which was actually DELICIOUS. :) We spent all afternoon running around getting all their contracts and formularios* (*form) for their pension and rent done so the money can go to their bank accounts. As we were trying to leave, there was construction on the road, so we got stuck for about 2 hours, in which the combi drove through little off road jungle dirt pathways and we were pretty sure that we were going to die, but HEY we didn't! :D We got back to Huanuco at 8:50 and went home. :)

Saturday was Dia de San Juan* (*St John’s Day)! :D In the morning, we went to Primavera to get all their contracts done! After lunch of juanes, the San Juan traditional food, with Mama Epi, we had weekly planning and our pension, Maruja, finally came back from Lima! :D All of our citas* (*appointments) fell through due to the holiday, so we contacted and finished our contracts! :D Also, USA beat Peru in women's volleyball today (which caused all Peruvians to hate us for a bit...) so WAY TO GO USA! you did us gringas proud. :)

Domingo* (*Sunday)! Today, our citas* (*appointments) fell through in the morning and we contacted and studied! After lunch, we went over to church and Ana and Diego, investigators, came! :D Diego's still on track for baptism this Saturday, so PRAYERS PLEASE. After church, we visited Luis and Lupe, investigators, and read Alma 36, and put a baptismal date with Luis for August 12th! So hopefully that one works out as well. :)

LES AMO BASTANTE y espero que todo les va bien... cuentanme de sus vidas porfa* (*I LOVE YOU SO MUCH and hope everything is going well…please tell me about your lives). :)

Con amor y mis oraciones para siempre jamas* (*With love and my prayers forever and ever),

Hermana Schmid
